Alpha Yankee has been used primarily as a VFR tourer during our ownership. However the avionics fit is suitable for more adventurous touring.
Our main instrument is a Garmin GNS 530. It's sophisticated moving map display is combined with both radio and an ILS/VOR display

A Garmin GTX328 mode 'S' transponder
A Garmin GMA 340 audio panel incorporating a 4 place intercom
A King KN64 DME
A secondary 'hard number' standby radio incorporating a nav unit slaved to a VOR indicator.
and finally a Trafficscope unit alerting the pilot to nearby transponder equipped aircraft.
